6 Weeks and -22

So far I have lost 22 pounds! 38 to go. I try not to think of how much more I have to loose. When I do that I want to give up. Whenever that thought comes up I change the way I'm thinking by remembering that I have been doing this diet for 6 weeks, I'm down 22 pounds and it really only feels  like it's been two weeks. Something else I choose to remind myself is that there are ALWAYS opportunities to cheat. If you do NOT teach yourself to say no, you WILL be saying yes a lot. Then, you will not succeed in your weight loss goals. In the last 6 weeks I have been to a baby shower, two birthday parties, a super bowl party, a house warming party, coffee with the girls, Valentines day & ladies night at my house. I think I've proved my point that there is ALWAYS an excuse to cheat :)
* While I'm writing this Blog my neighbor just stopped by with a plate of cookies, hahaha.
I have adjusted my orders to mostly Dutch Chocolate Shakes, Orange Shakes, Mint Chocolate Bars, S'mores  Bars, Strawberry Bars, Chocolate Pancakes, Mac & Cheese, Apple Oatmeal, Maple Oatmeal & Mint Chocolate Soft Serve.
Note: The Banana Shake tastes exactly like the banana candy Runts. The Mocha Shake tastes a little like the cappuccino, which I personally think it's nasty.
I'm still trying to stay consistent with drinking a lot of water. I can see a difference in my weight loss when I don't drink enough.

- 14 POUNDS AND COUNTING!!

I feel great! My fat girl clothes are not tight anymore which feels so good. Soon I can move down to my not so fat girl clothes:) I started weighing myself once a week(on Tuesdays). I recommend this because it gives you small goals to reach and also keeps you from discouragement on the days you have not lost anything.
Today My hubby did my measurements again and I am down 2 inches. We did the measurements in the beginning so this could be an encouragement to me and help me keep my eyes on the prize. The prize being........ A healthy body.
Another happy moment for me is I can now get my wedding ring off and have it cleaned. Hurray!

Morning of Day 11

Down 8 pounds!
Last night I discovered the Chocolate Mint Soft Serve Medi-fast meal. Yummmm. That is good AND filling. I can now say I'm fully conscious of the food I eat. I made homemade Mac & Cheese for the boys and did not touch any for myself. Also, last night I went to a friend's to play cards and did not touch any of the yummy snacks everyone brought. I consider this quite a feet because everyone kept offering me goodies. It was difficult, but felt so good this morning when I weighed and was down another pound. I saved my last meal of the day for the end of the night(soft serve) so that I would have something to look forward to.

1 Week Down

I have now lost 6 pounds.
Throughout last week I felt pretty good. There were times when I felt hungry and times when I also felt a little light headed. I assumed this was because my body was not yet adjusted to cutting my calories so drastically. It's now been a few days since I've experienced these spells. I take this "program" day by day. I'm learning to adjust the food to the way I like it. I add pepper to the mac & cheese, cinnamon to the  maple oatmeal & chicken broth to the chicken noodle soup. So far the one thing I cannot adjust to my liking is the Cappuccino.  I will not drink it.
I actually like both chocolate shakes. I save them for the end of the day, just after the kids are in bed as sort of a treat. I have always been the hungriest in the afternoon so that is when I eat my lean meal. I have not veered from the chicken with pepper yet. The funny thing is that I really look forward to it. I eat my greens when we all sit down for dinner.
The last few days I have not been good about drinking enough water, so today that is my focus.
Just as I hoped, Take Shape For Life is working well for me because I don't have to put much thought into it. It's all done for me which is great in this season of my life when I have small children. Especially since it's winter and our activities are limited living in a small town. I have also taken up crochet which gives me another busy activity(other than eating :) while the kids are napping.
To be continued.......

DAY 4

Down 5 pounds.
My lean has been chicken cooked with 1T. olive oil and pepper.
My greens this week have been steamed broccoli(boring but doable), Zuccini sauteed in 1T. olive oil and fresh green beans boiled 15 minutes and sprinkled with balsamic vinegar(yumm).
My favorite Medifast meals so far are the chocolate shakes & the Fruit & Nut Crunch Bar.

Morning of the 3rd Day

This morning I am moving very SLOW. This is a contrast to yesterday when I woke up feeling great with lots of energy. I do think that my body is getting adjusted to the amount of calories I am now consuming because last night I had to make myself drink a shake. I just simply wasn't hungry.
Out of curiosity I weighed myself today. I've already lost 2 maybe 3 pounds!
