Down 8 pounds!
Last night I discovered the Chocolate Mint Soft Serve Medi-fast meal. Yummmm. That is good AND filling. I can now say I'm fully conscious of the food I eat. I made homemade Mac & Cheese for the boys and did not touch any for myself. Also, last night I went to a friend's to play cards and did not touch any of the yummy snacks everyone brought. I consider this quite a feet because everyone kept offering me goodies. It was difficult, but felt so good this morning when I weighed and was down another pound. I saved my last meal of the day for the end of the night(soft serve) so that I would have something to look forward to.

1 Week Down
I have now lost 6 pounds.
Throughout last week I felt pretty good. There were times when I felt hungry and times when I also felt a little light headed. I assumed this was because my body was not yet adjusted to cutting my calories so drastically. It's now been a few days since I've experienced these spells. I take this "program" day by day. I'm learning to adjust the food to the way I like it. I add pepper to the mac & cheese, cinnamon to the maple oatmeal & chicken broth to the chicken noodle soup. So far the one thing I cannot adjust to my liking is the Cappuccino. I will not drink it.
I actually like both chocolate shakes. I save them for the end of the day, just after the kids are in bed as sort of a treat. I have always been the hungriest in the afternoon so that is when I eat my lean meal. I have not veered from the chicken with pepper yet. The funny thing is that I really look forward to it. I eat my greens when we all sit down for dinner.
The last few days I have not been good about drinking enough water, so today that is my focus.
Just as I hoped, Take Shape For Life is working well for me because I don't have to put much thought into it. It's all done for me which is great in this season of my life when I have small children. Especially since it's winter and our activities are limited living in a small town. I have also taken up crochet which gives me another busy activity(other than eating :) while the kids are napping.
To be continued.......

My lean has been chicken cooked with 1T. olive oil and pepper.
My greens this week have been steamed broccoli(boring but doable), Zuccini sauteed in 1T. olive oil and fresh green beans boiled 15 minutes and sprinkled with balsamic vinegar(yumm).
My favorite Medifast meals so far are the chocolate shakes & the Fruit & Nut Crunch Bar.

Morning of the 3rd Day
This morning I am moving very SLOW. This is a contrast to yesterday when I woke up feeling great with lots of energy. I do think that my body is getting adjusted to the amount of calories I am now consuming because last night I had to make myself drink a shake. I just simply wasn't hungry.
Out of curiosity I weighed myself today. I've already lost 2 maybe 3 pounds!

DAY 1
Completed. I made it through the first day!The hardest part was being conscious of what I was doing with the food in front of me. There were many times while making the boys food that, without thinking, I almost "tasted" it. This really showed me that there are habits I need to break. Teaching an old dog new tricks is not impossible, just hard.
The hardest part of the day for me is around 2:00. Probably because that's nap-time which gives me-time to think about food. This is now when I will eat my lean & green(because this is when I am most hungry during the day). I will also keep myself busy with some sort of project. This week it's crocheting a blanket.
I miss the creamer in my coffee most of all. Drinking coffee black just isn't the same, but like my health coach Kally Thompson-Elliott( :) ) says,"Your doing this to change NOT to be the same"(paraphrase).
